Accessibility
Berkeley Art Center is committed to making contemporary art by local artists approachable and accessible. BAC’s gallery allows for manual and electric wheelchairs, electric mobility scooters, and other power-driven mobility devices. The adjoining City of Berkeley park is wheelchair accessible by a street side ramp that connects to a concrete path into the picnic area. Our facility includes a clearly labeled all-gender restroom available to guests that includes an infant changing table.
Exhibition wall labels are printed in 16-point type. BAC is happy to provide tours for visually impaired visitors. Please note that staff and volunteers are not formally trained to give descriptive sight tours, but rather can provide some interpretation and content information. Please contact BAC prior to your visit to make tour arrangements.
For events, please let us know if you require accommodations for an interpreter or other assistance in order to participate.
